Jones, Mary Jean Age 88, passed away at the Village of Alameda on Saturday, October 8, 2011. Mary was born in De Leon, Texas, on June 28, 1923. She was married for 62 years to Lewis E. Jones who preceded her in death in 2007. She and Sgt. Major Jones married in 1942 during WWII and lived and traveled together for sixty-two years, going from one military base to another during his twenty-six year military career until their retirement in Albuquerque in 1968. She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Brian Jones. She is survived by her son Eddie Jones and wife Nancy, daughter Becky Scott and her husband Roland, all of Albuquerque. Granddaughters; Amy Schum and husband Kevin, Holly Lovato and husband Matt of Albuquerque. Grandson, Phillip Villella of Boulder, Colorado. Granddaughter Andrea Villella of Las Vegas, Nevada and great-grandchildren Sabrina Schum, Noah Lovatto, Andrew Villella, Desiree and Angel Resars. Mary loved traveling throughout the nation and worldwide with Lewis. She was a professional doll maker who enjoyed quilt making and sewing. She reveled in being a grandmother and great-grandmother and will be sincerely missed. The family wishes to especially thank the staffs of The Village of Alameda and Advantage Hospice for their special caring help as well as her special friend Cita Anaya.
