Marianito died June 20, 2010, in Gallup. She was born July 4, 1912, in Pine Springs, into the Black Sheep People Clan for the One Walks Around People Clan. Marianito attended Fort Defiance Boarding School and Albuquerque Indian School. She worked at Gallup Supply Center, Crownpoint Indian Hospital, Indian Center and U.S. Public Health Service until she retired in 1985. Survivors include her sons, Daniel J. Marianito of Rio Rancho, Anthony F. Marianito Sr. of Albuquerque, Frederick Marianito of Churchrock; daughter, Winona M. Kay of Churchrock; brother, Steven Smith of Sawmill; sister, Rose Russell of Tuba City; 19 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren. Marianito was preceded in death by her husband, John S. Marianito; daughter, Dolly Ann Murphy; son, Frankie A. Marianito. Pallbearers will be Kendall Peterson, Roderick Marianito, Tyrone Kay, Craig Marianto, Donovan Marianito, Anthony Marianito Jr. Arrangements Are entrusted to: Cope Memorial Chapel
