Mary Lou Polaco

Mary Lou Polaco, our beloved mother passed away peacefully on May 15th surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Aragon NM to William R and Josefita Milligan.

She is preceded in death by her husband Joe of 59 years. She is survived by her children Debbie (Gabe), Elizabeth (Charles), Joseph (Cammie); five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Mary Lou graduated from Albuquerque High School and was employed by Sandia Labs then later employed by and retired from the State of NM, Children Youth & Families Department as an administrative supervisor. She remained active throughout her life and enjoyed traveling, cruises and spending time with family and friends. Her empanadas, biscochitos and fruit salad were family favorites.

She will be remembered for her steadfast love and devotion to her family; her grace, strength, dignity, kindness, fun spirit, and love of the Lord Jesus. We will miss her beyond what words can say.

Her services will be held on May 30th, 2025 at St. Bernadette Catholic church where she was a member for over 60 years. The Rosary will be held at 9:30 a.m. the mass at 10:00 a.m. followed by Internment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Reception to follow Internment at St. Bernadette hall.
