MaryHelen Gallagher, age 75, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2026. She was born in Artesia, New Mexico, to Juan Gaspar Rincon and Margarita Carrasco Rincon.
MaryHelen attended Artesia High School and later graduated from West Mesa High School in 1971. She dedicated 22 years of service to Albuquerque Public Schools before retiring. Her commitment to her work and her community reflected her caring and dependable spirit.
MaryHelen was married to her beloved husband, Raymond P. Gallagher, for 24 years. She cherished her family above all else. Crafts were her favorite hobby, and she found joy in creating beautiful handmade treasures for those she loved. She was a faithful member of St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church. One of her favorite songs, “Keeper of the Stars” by Tracy Byrd, held a special place in her heart.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond P. Gallagher; her parents, Juan and Margarita Rincon; her infant brother, Juan Rincon; her sisters, Angela Rincon, Petra Torres, and Adelina Rincon.
MaryHelen is survived by her loving daughters, Susan Archuleta (Marcus) of Albuquerque and Linda Saiz (Frankie) of Hobbs, New Mexico. She is also survived by her sisters Mary A. Rincon, Teodora Torres, and Diane Rincon, all of Albuquerque; her brothers Fredrick Rincon (Terri), Timothy Rincon (Diana), James Rincon (Becky), John Rincon (Rita), Julian Rincon (Jane), and Rito C. Rincon (Tonya), all of Albuquerque; as well as Michelle Bailey (Cliff), Michael Gallagher, Brian Gallagher (Valerie), and Libby Gallagher.
She leaves behind numerous cherished grandchildren: Joseph, Alexus, Bryanna, Carolina, Brittani, Tiffani, Stephanie, Brandon, Josh, Gabriella, Allyson, Amanda, Stephanie, and Christopher; and great-grandchildren: Naomi, MacKenzie, Adelina, Sienna, Celeste, Gabbon, Cooper, Everett, Julia, Lilith, Gideon, Freya, Gabriel, Ethan, Garrett, Vivian, Isabella, Sydney, Abbey, Carter, Alaric, and Marissa.
MaryHelen’s life was defined by love, devotion, faith, and creativity. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers
