Mateo Philip Christilaw, 21, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on March 12, 2026. Mateo was born on March 8, 2005, in Albuquerque to Laura Christilaw, who preceded him in death in 2024, and Philip Christilaw.

Mateo was a skilled tradesman who took pride in working with his hands and building a future through hard work and dedication. Outside of work, he found joy in the simple things in life—playing guitar, fishing, camping, and spending time with the people he loved most.

He shared a special bond with his sister, Sophia, and was also loved by his stepmother, Juanita, and his step-sisters, Desiree and Brianna. His Ninos, Lench and Landy, loved him dearly and brought him great joy. Mateo will be remembered for his kind heart, his love for the outdoors, and the laughter and warmth he brought to family gatherings.

Mateo is preceded in death by his mother, Laura Christilaw, and his beloved girlfriend, Madison Rodgers, who passed away alongside him.

He leaves behind his father, Philip Christilaw; his sister, Sophia; his stepmother, Juanita; his step-sisters, Desiree and Brianna; his beloved Ninos, Lench and Landy; and many extended family members and friends who will miss him deeply.

Funeral services will be held on April 18, 2026, at 1:00pm, at Daniel’s Family Funeral Services, 3113 Carlisle Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110 Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate Mateo’s life and honor his memory.
