"Always in our hearts". Melinda Martinez, age 90 passed away peacefully on August 04, 2026, in Albuquerque, NM. Born in Pecos, NM. Melinda was surrounded by family and friends in the final days of her life. 

Melinda Martinez lived a life marked by faith, compassion and unwavering devotion to those she loved.

She is survived by her oldest sister Ruby Maes-Fowler, along with many nieces and nephews. She is proceeded in death by her parents Federico and Senaida Martinez, her sisters Josephine Tenorio and Susan Cuesta.

Throughout her life. Melinda dedicated herself to nurturing and caring for children. She helped to raise countless children of family members and friends. Her kind spirit and gentle heart touched so many lives in many ways. 

Most important to Melinda was her devotion to her faith. She loved Jesus Christ, prayed religiously with deep sincerity. No matter the challenges she faced her belief in Jesus Christ was unwavering and she knew that on her final day of life she would be welcomed into his loving arms. We rejoice knowing that she is resting in peace in his presence.
