Melissa "Melo" Nicole Mitchell

On September 3, 2023 Melissa “Melo” Mitchell passed away surrounded by her loved ones in her hometown of Albuquerque, NM. She was born on July 9^th, 1997 in Albuquerque, NM.  Anyone who knew Melo knew, she loved deeply and had a infinite amount of love to give. She was passionate about taking care of those around her and would go to great lengths to ensure they felt the love and acceptance, she so longed for herself. She was a free spirt that lived life on her own terms, although not traditional or conventional, she was true to who she was. She was a talented artist, photographer, and caregiver that enjoyed music, make-up, comics, cooking, frogs and dogs, but most of all spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Robert W. Concho, Lee Mitchell, Emma Mitchell, aunt Bertha Concho, brother Erik Mitchell and nephew Geronimo Martin. She is survived by her mother, Erica Concho, sisters, Bianca Mitchell, Teya Mitchell, Christy Martin and Diane Sloan, grandmother, Katherine Concho, aunts, Roberta Concho, Sharon Concho and Michelle Concho, uncles, Bobby Concho, Eric Concho, Bryan Concho, Daryl Concho, Lawrence Concho and cousins Kelly Concho-Hayes, Kimberly Concho, Kevin Concho, Deidra Concho, Thomas Bulger, Catherine Plambeck, Tomas Concho, Matthew Concho and Lauren Concho, 5 nephews, 3 nieces and her beloved dog Tupac aka Chicken Nugget.

We want to honor her with a celebration of life, that will take place Saturday, September 16, 2023 at 11am at Daniels Family Funeral and Cremation located at 3113 Carlisle Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM.
