Mella Riley

Mella Riley passed away on March 25, 2022 in Albuquerque, NM at the age of 57.

Mella is survived by daughters, Tanya Price and Jessica Riley of Albuquerque, NM; son, Nicholas Riley Jr. of Albuquerque, NM; grandchildren, Daniel Garcia Jr. and Gabriel Garcia;  brother, Steven Price of Albuquerque, NM; sister, Jana Monjure of Albuquerque, NM; and friend, Edward Shaw of Rio Rancho, NM. She is preceded in death by her father, Earl Price; mother, Jerilyn Thomas; and Pita the cat.

Mella was born on February 21, 1965 in Evansville, Indiana to Earl Price and Jerilyn Thomas. She graduated from Calumet High School. Mella was employed at Melloy Dodge as the parts assistant manager for 27 years. She loved working on the ranch, working on refurbishing projects and loved to bake.

She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

A visitation will take place at 10:00 am with a mass to follow at 10:30 am on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at St. Thomas Aquinas, 1502 Sara Rd. Rio Rancho, NM 87124. An interment will take place at 11:30 am on Thursday, April 21, 2022 Vista Verde Memorial Park , 4310 Sara Rd. SE Rio Rancho, NM. A reception will take place at St. Thomas Aquinas (behind the church on the westside) at 12:00 pm.
