Michael Lilla

The original jokester, Michael J. Lilla passed away at home on April 19th, 2019 shortly after celebrating his 98th birthday. He was a well loved character in his community and always willing to depart helpful advice on what vitamins to take, how to make a buck or growing awesome tomatoes. He was a proud Seabee veteran of WWII and a big time fan of baseball. He loved to share stories about both. He had a can do spirit and a take life as it comes attitude. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Lilla (the boss) and son, Glenn Paul Lilla. He is survived by his daughters Kim Plebani and Kathi Lilla. He took great pride in his grandchildren Michael Sylvester, Nick Sylvester, Gabi Sylvester, Ettore Plebani, Ravin Romero, Donnie Romero, Sloane Lilla, Marcia Lilla, and Danielle Lowe. He loved his great- grandchildren Lylah Sylvester, Shiloh Romero, Bishop Romero, Italia Romero, Angeline Archibeque, Dominic Archibeque, Serenity Lilla, Savannah Lilla, Lethan Lowe and London Lowe. 

Memorial Services for Michael will be held on May 4th, 2019 from 12pm - 2pm at Veterans Memorial Park, located at 950 Pinetree Rd SE, Rio Rancho, NM 87124.
