Monica Therese Martinez

Monica was a resident of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, since 1990.

Monica is survived by her mother, Patricia Martinez; sister, Debra Jackson, and brother-in-law Greg Jackson; brother, Filiberto Martinez, and sister-in-law Nancy Martinez; sister, Elizabeth Martinez, and several nieces and nephews. Monica is preceded in death by her father, Filiberto “Sonny” Martinez, and sister, Patricia Padilla.

Monica was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Monica was born in Fairview, New Mexico, and lived in the Albuquerque Old Town area until 1990. She attended several special needs schools and graduated from Monzano High School in 1983. Monica attended RCI dayhab until 2023.

Monica loved to dance and sing “Volver, Volver”. She went on several cruises and trips with family and friends. Monica attended many concerts and other events. She loved the Balloon Fiesta. Monica enjoyed her sewing crafts and e-writing in her notebook.

A Visitation will be held at Daniels Family Funeral Services – Southern Chapel, located at 2400 Southern Blvd. SE, Rio Rancho, New Mexico, 87124, on Friday, August 11, 2023, from 8:00AM-9:00AM.  Rosary will be recited at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, located at 1502 Sara Rd. SE, Rio Rancho, NM, 87124, on Friday, August 11^th, 2023, beginning at 10:00AM with Mass to follow at 10:30AM. Directly following Mass, Interment will be held at Vista Verde Memorial Park, located at 4310 Sara Rd. SE, Rio Rancho, NM, 87124, beginning at 12:00PM.
