Monika E. Montoya

Monika E. Montoya passed away unexpectedly on August 11, 2018 in Albuquerque, NM at the age of 62.

Monika is survived by her daughters Jennifer and Melissa and her grandsons Noah, Brody, and Jaxon.

She is also survived by her mother Elisabeth and her sister Ilona and her children.

Monika was preceded in death by her husband Anthony, her daughter Melanie, and her father Adam.

Monika was born in Bad Hersfeld, Germany to Adam and Elisabeth Grau. She met and married Anthony, who

was in the Army. They moved to various duty stations throughout the years. When Anthony retired, they

eventually settled down in Albuquerque. Monika worked as medical assistant at the Presbyterian

Montgomery clinic for numerous years, where a great number of her co-workers were considered friends.

a celebration of life is scheduled for Thursday, August 23, 2017 at 11:00am at Daniels Family Funeral

services on 3113 Carlisle Blvd NE. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Monika’s life. Please feel free

to bring photos and share some memories. Monika appreciated bright colors, so we encourage you to wear

them in memory of Monika. Following the service, Monika will be laid to rest at the Santa Fe National Cemetery
