Moses Eloy Garcia (78) of Albuquerque, NM, passed away surrounded by his family on Aug. 2, 2026. He was diagnosed with tongue cancer but passed from heart complications.

He was born on Dec. 30, 1947, and raised in Albuquerque. He was the first graduating class of Del-Norte (66). He served his country in the Army during the Vietnam war (-70).

He is preceded in death by his grandparents Serafin and Sefora Armijo, parents Paul and Christina Dailey and Moses E. Garcia, Sr., and his beloved wife, Rita Garcia of 29 years.

He is survived by his brother, Douglas Dailey (wife Pamela), nephews, Paul, Patrick and Peter and 5 great nephews, 2 great nieces and a baby girl expected in January. Sister Judy Dankworth (Bill), nephews James and Jack and niece Chole Milme () with a baby boy expected in October. Daughter Brenda Rico (Nancy), grandchildren Elidett Carreon (Adrian Escobedo), Eduardo Carreon (Courtney), Luis Carreon (Mariah), Areli Diaz (Anthony), Xzylle Rico, Neveah Rico, Cruz Rico, Poseidon Rico and Elian “Timmy” Rico. Great-grandson, Ezariah Moses CarreonSon Luis “BB” Rico (Julie), grandchildren Alexis Argumedo (Brian), Hailee Rico and Brendan Rico. Great-grandchild Benjamin and Eva Luna Argumedo.
