Nancy Sharp Foley died in her sleep in Rio Rancho, New Mexico on March 26, 2022, at the age of 73 years old.

Nancy was born in Milan, Tennessee on September 21, 1948 to Dorris Shuford Sharp and Tasso Houston Sharp. Nancy was attending her first year at Union University in Jackson, Tennessee when she was diagnosed with a cerebral hemorrhage. She was unable to complete her college degree but went on to work 21 years as a loved elementary teacher’s aide in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. After Nancy retired, she volunteer tutored adults in English both in Jackson, TN and Portales, NM. Nancy always attended church as long as she could, in Ft. Lauderdale, Greenfield, Jackson, and Portales. Her faith in Christ and support of family sustained her through many difficult times.

Nancy is survived by her sisters, Karen Sharp Alexander (brother-in-law, Lonnie Alexander) of Corrales, NM and Susan Sharp Matheny (brother-in-law, Edd Matheny) of Farmington, NM; nephews; Jason Stoltz and Daniel Alexander; niece, Michaela Alexander; great nieces, Jaden, Chloe, Mia Alexander and Joselyn Stoltz; great nephew, Jackson Stoltz; first cousins, Lemon McCartney, Dorris Ann Denton Bell (Buck Bell), Connor and Caroline Bell, and Wallace Shuford; cousins, Kasi Knot Darby (Tandy Darby), Kelly Knot Jones (Gary Lynn Jones), Tess, Edie, and Sloan Darby.  Nancy is preceded in death by her husband, Harry Foley; and nephew, Chad Matheny; cousins, Bill Denton, Jim Denton, Bobby McCartney, and Donna Shuford.

Nancy will return to the state of her birth to be placed to rest by her mother and father on May 21, 2022 in Lavinia, Tennessee.
