Goldfarb, Nathan Nathan Goldfarb left us on August 30th, 2011. His loving "daughter, Patty Popp, was by his side when he passed. He is now reunited with his beloved wife Ruth, who he missed so desperately, and to whom he was married for 45 years. They had no children. Nathan was born on Feb. 11, 1917 in Montreal, Canada, and became a naturalized US citizen. He served honorably in WW II, winning a purple heart by being injured in battle and leaving his blood, as did so many of our heroes, on the battlefield in Metz, France. Nate was a self educated man with a sharp mind who worked various jobs, finally retiring from Civil Service as a photo technician/doing video maintenance on cameras used by the military at Kirtland Air Force Base, Albuquerque. Originally from Rockford, IL, he and Ruth lived in Albuquerque, NM, until her death there, and then he moved to Tucson. He became friends with Patty?s mother, Lucy, until Lucy?s death in 2007. Heartfelt thanks goes to all the people who touched Nate?s life, especially his caregivers and staff at Handmaker. Donations may be made in his name to the Handmaker Foundation.
