Nathan Michael
Loos
April 23, 1997 – March 24, 2026
Engine Company № 3
1:00 - 4:00 pm (Central time)
Our precious and perfect Nathan Michael Loos was born April 23, 1997 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and left us far too soon on March 24, 2026 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The unbearable pain of losing Nathan is shared by all who love him, his unwaveringly devoted mother Diane Wroblewski Loos, father Michael Loos, brothers Eric Pagels (Courtney and their son, his most precious nephew, Henry) and Max Loos (Claire and their daughter, his darling niece, Morgan), many other family members and close friends. Nathan’s kindness, quick wit, enormous heart, incredible generosity and unstoppable humor touched countless lives. His profound love for his beloved cats cannot be overstated: Rupert, Captain, Nadia, Sinbad, Bill, Merlin and Kevin. Impossible to mention all, yet bonds of friendship were especially deep and formidable with Jacob, Anthony, Scott, Kenny, Colin, Nate, Tyler, Carly, and Deangelo, his devoted friend, roommate and coworker, to name a few. Nathan was quick to offer a hand and his exemplary work ethic made him a sought after mentor and shining star to follow. His deep love and appreciation for his family included his steadfast mentor and second father to him, Al (Michael Elzy), and so many others at his various work families including Air Masters, O’Reilly Motor Cars, Best Graphics Group, and Hans Whittler’s Automotive.
Nathan came out of the womb determined, high-spirited, curious, strong-willed and wildly adventurous. He spent his childhood in Greenfield, WI and graduated from Marquette University High School where, his mother recalls, the Jesuits appreciated how much Nathan challenged and engaged students and teachers alike with his endlessly inquisitive and curious mind. A deep thinker and empathetic soul, Nathan was so moved by the Kairos Senior Retreat that he memorialized what he learned there with the tattoo: E.H.A.S. (Everyone Has A Story).
All who loved him concur: “Nathan did everything big. Whether people liked it or not.” He was always himself and he moved full force. He loved ALL things cars and had big dreams of owning his own automotive repair business. He was an expert swimmer and damn fine golfer; he played soccer, hockey and lacrosse; he learned to sail, and scuba dive at Red Arrow Camp in Woodruff, Wisconsin. He loved to fish particularly where he spent a week in June almost every summer of his life at his cherished Dairymens in Boulder Junction, Wisconsin. His sense of humor is legendary. His full-bodied laughter was infectious and he laughed with his entire being. It will echo throughout his childhood home, his work places and every place ever graced with his presence. His close peeps all agree: he would do anything for anyone if you were his friend, he is so so funny, and had a heart of gold. There’s a tenderness in the way he paid attention to little details, thinking about other people and what they might enjoy. One friend said, “He was always down, never cheap, and ready to go!” As another who knew him well said, “His life is defined by the love he gave and the joy he brought to all of our lives, not by the tragedy that took him away.”
