Nicholas “Nick” Degidio, 65, of Albuquerque, NM, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by family on August 29, 2025.
Nick was born on January 15, 1960, in Newark, New Jersey, to Maria and Antonio Degidio.
On October 3, 1981, he married his wife, Amy, and together they built a life grounded in love, devotion, and perseverance. He is survived by Amy, his two sons, six grandchildren, and three sisters.
Nick spent much of his career working at Los Alamos National Laboratory, where he took pride in his work. Known for his responsibility and strong work ethic, he was a man who always put family first.
Beyond his professional life, Nick was admired for his stubborn determination and sharp sense of humor. He was a passionate woodworker, creating everything from finely crafted furniture to guitars, leaving behind tangible reminders of his creativity and skill. He also loved spending time outdoors, especially fishing and boating at Navajo Lake, where he made lasting memories with family.
Nick will be remembered as a tough, funny, and deeply caring husband, father, and grandfather who believed in taking care of family above all else. His legacy of love, hard work, and craftsmanship will continue to inspire those who knew him.
