Nicolina Antonia Di Gregorio Seay

Nicolina Antonia Seay, 93 of Gallup, and Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2026.

Nicolina was born in Canzano, Italy on April 25, 1933. To Basilio and Oliva DiGregorio, she immigrated to the United States in 1938 at the age of five years old. Her Father found work in Gamerco, New Mexico, and later settled in Gallup, New Mexico. She was an excellent student. She taught her mother to speak English every day after school. She graduated from Gallup High School in 1951 with honors. She also attended college classes at UNM Gallup Branch.

In June of 1951, Nicolina married James T. Seay from Corsicana, Texas. They were married for 42 years when he passed away in 1993. She developed her accounting skills working as a bookkeeper for Eaton’s Accounting Firm. Her Father, Basilio Di Gregorio built the California Super Markets. In 1956 Nicolina went to work for her father, running the bookkeeping department, for approximately 31 years. In 1990 She purchased Pronto Fina Food Market and gas, which she operated until retiring in 2017.

Nicolina also known as Nicki, cherished her family, Italian heritage and her Catholic faith. She enjoyed traveling, bowling, and fashion. Nicki was known for her intelligence, great business sense, and strong independent spirit.

She was preceded in death by her Husband James T. Seay; Son, James Anthony Seay,

Parents; Father, Basilio D. Di Gregorio, Mother, Oliva M. De Santis Di Gregorio.

Nicolina is survived by her Daughter; Nancy Lynette Seay Pruitt,

Grandsons; Christopher Ray Pruitt, Daniel Shane Pruitt, Greg Mathew Seay,

Great Grandchildren; Madison Pruitt, Ayden Pruitt, Shane Pruitt, Dylan Pruitt, Amilia Seay.

RECEPTION IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING BURIAL.
