Norman “Randy” Randolph Hyatt, age 86, of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2025. He was born on December 29, 1938, in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Randy proudly served his country in the U.S. Army for three years, during which time he was stationed at a missile base. Following his military service, he built a long and varied career, including employment with Continental Can in Ohio and, later, co-owning a health food store with his beloved wife, Helen, for over 20 years.
Randy was united in marriage to Helen Marie Ribar in Hamilton, Ohio. Together, they shared 53 years of unwavering love, faith, and dedication. He is survived by Helen and by many cherished family members—both by blood and by spirit.
A man of deep and abiding faith, Randy thrived in Jesus Christ. Over the course of 50 years, he overcame great adversity through his walk with the Lord. He helped found multiple churches and, alongside Helen, was ordained a deacon. Together, they established a home church in Ohio and were instrumental in supporting and undergirding churches in both Ohio and New Mexico. They also helped start One Way Farm, a safe haven for abused children. Randy and Helen were known as powerful prayer warriors and intercessors, always ready to stand in the gap for others.
Randy loved being around people and had a joyful spirit. He enjoyed playing games and sharing laughter with those he loved.
His favorite quote, which embodies his peace and faith, was: “It is well with my soul.”
Randy’s legacy of love, faith, and service lives on in all who knew him.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Daniel’s Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at Vista Verde Cemetery, 4310 Sarah Road, Rio Rancho, NM 87124.
