Oliver James Stevens

Oliver James Stevens, a New Mexico resident since 1968, passed away Saturday May 30th surround by his loving family. He was born October 4, 1929 at Fort Collins, Colorado, to Wilburn and Edna Horner Stevens. He is survived by his stepdaughter Carl Stone and husband Roy of Fort Collins Colorado. His brother Joe Stevens of Bend, Oregon, many step grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Dorthy, sisters Norma and Mildred, stepdaughter Linda and step son Jim. He was raised on a farm in eastern Colorado and graduated from Colorado State University. He was a musician and music store owner in Colorado. In New Mexico he became a CPA in 1970 and practiced accounting until his retirement. After retirement he loved being involved in the Jug band and Chiorliers at the Palo Duro Senior Center, and spent many years entertaining the many residents of care facilities around the city of Albuquerque.
