Olos E. Manes

Olos E. Manes, 91, of Farmington , passed away on Sunday, May 9, 2010 . He was born December 30, 1918 in Lake Arthur , NM , to Ezra and Agnes Manes. Olos was a graduate of Farmington High School and served in the US Army during World War II. He worked for many years in the oilfield supply business in Farmington . He enjoyed playing pool, fishing, and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Luella and Ima Jo, and brother Robert Conard Manes. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Elsie Mae, his daughter Kay (Clyde) Brown, granddaughter Tanya (David) Blankinship, and great-grandchildren Justin and Jensen Blankinship, brothers James (Mardelle) Manes and Leonard (Jean) Manes, and sister Dorothy Garrett. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will be greatly missed. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 14th at Brewer, Lee, and Larkin Funeral Home, 103 E. Ute St., Farmington with Pastor Lee Fiske officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Farmington with full military honors being provided by VFW Post #2182 of Farmington.
