Age 63, of Rio Rancho, NM, passed away on July 7, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his family.  
Pat was born in Omaha, Nebraska on December 2, 1953.  He graduated from Westside High School in 1972.  He attended McCook Junior College in McCook, Nebraska on a wrestling scholarship. He continued his wrestling career at Adams State College.  He graduated in 1978 with a Bachelor of Arts and in 1979 with a Masters in Speech Pathology.  
During his life, Pat took time to explore the places around him, including living in Leadville, Colorado, Aspen, Colorado, and Tempe, Arizona.
While attending Adams State College, he met his wife, Nancy, and married in 1981. Pat began his speech pathology career in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1979. After teaching for 7 years, he started his real estate career; first in Albuquerque, then in Rio Rancho.  Pat enjoyed living life to the brim, creating his most memorable experiences golfing with his closest friends and spending time with his family.  He took pride in teaching his three boys, Matthew, Nathan, and Kyle, all that he knew. Some of their greatest memories include skiing, visiting his family in Omaha, Nebraska, and taking his family on vacations. A conversation with friends always ended with expressing how proud he was of his boys’ accomplishments.
He is best known for his love for Jesus and his family. Pat had a love for meeting new people and never knew a stranger.  Time spent with Pat was filled with joy and laughter.
Pat is survived by his children: Matthew Mazzei (Oona), Nathan Mazzei, Kyle Mazzei; mother of his children, Nancy Mazzei; brothers Jim Mazzei (Mary Anne), John Mazzei (Debbie), and sister Mary Berner (Mark); and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, James Mazzei and his mother, Lena Coco Mazzei.
Visitation will be held Friday, July 14, 2017, from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Daniels Family Funeral Services - Sara Chapel , 4310 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho.  A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2017, 3:00 pm, at Strong-Thorne Chapel, 1100 Coal Ave SE, Albuquerque.  Reception to follow Memorial Service.
