Patrick Edward Walsh

Patrick Edward Walsh, age 64, beloved father, grandfather, and brother, was embraced by the Lord and called to Eternal Life on Saturday, August 2, 2025.

Patrick was born and raised in Paguate and Albuquerque, New Mexico. One of eight children, he graduated from Cibola High School in Albuquerque, where he maintained lifelong friendships. He enjoyed snow skiing and hiking in Taos Ski Valley with his family. Patrick attended the University of Albuquerque for one year before choosing to help manage his father's business, the Amizette Inn, located in Taos Ski Valley. There, he formed friendships and connections with visitors from around the world. He loved interacting and joking with guests, always making sure they felt welcome during their stay.

Patrick later moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where he worked as a Pit Boss at a local casino and held a part-time position with American Airlines as a baggage handler. He eventually returned to Albuquerque to once again manage the Amizette Inn, assisting his father until his passing and the sale of the inn. Patrick retired early due to health issues.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Marcelina Walsh; his son, Patrick “PJ”; and his brothers, Bernie and John.

Patrick is survived by his children, whom he adored: Avery, John, and Callie; his grandson, James; siblings Patricia Sanchez, Michael Walsh, Margaret Walsh, Audrey Walsh-Gallegos, and Linda Walsh; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A wake will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. at his childhood home in Paguate, NM. A Rosary will follow at 6:00 p.m. Burial will take place on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the Paguate Cemetery.
