Patsy Ruth Devine Austin

Patsy Ruth Devine Austin, age 95, passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2023, in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.  She was born May 7, 1927, in Trinidad, Colorado to John DeVine and Thelma Coulter Devine.  When Patsy was not attending to her five children and grandchildren, she worked at various jobs and enjoyed several hobbies, including sewing, doll making, fishing and sharing her love of music with her children and grandchildren.

Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, John and Thelma Devine; husband, Hubert Bright Austin; and sister, Jacqueline Devine.

She is survived by her five children, John F. (Martha) Austin, Leslee (Tom) Burns, Kirby C. Austin, Carole Van De Valde, Janet Morlang; 12 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, many other relatives and friends.

Cremation has taken place.  Per Patsy’s wishes, there will be no services. 

Patsy will be greatly missed by all who had the opportunity and privilege to know her.
