Paul Edwin Griffin

Mr. Paul Edwin Griffin passed away peacefully on July 7th, 2022, in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, at the age of 80 years old.

Paul is preceded in death by his mother Adaleene Griffin (née Laverty), father Lloyd Henry Griffin, brother Charles Lloyd Griffin, sisters, Lois Arlene Hayes, Anita June Persinger and Karen Mae Overocker. Paul is survived by his loving wife Yong P. Griffin of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, daughter Katrina Davenport (and husband Kevin) of Merced, California, son Paul E. Griffin Jr. of Merced, CA, son Jonathan K. Griffin (and wife Sharon) of Bossier City, Louisiana, and daughter Adria K. Acree (and husband Ben) of Atlanta, Georgia. Paul is also survived by his grandchildren, Justin Tyler Griffin, Ethan Joseph Davenport, Holly Eva Davenport, Kassaundra Marie Davenport, Emma K. Griffin, Reid A. Griffin, Noah D. LaFitte, Molly J. Griffin, Lucy R. Acree, and Penelope H. Acree.

Paul was born on Sunday, May 24th, 1942, in Golden Gate, Illinois, to Adaleene Laverty and Lloyd Henry Griffin. Paul joined The United States Air Force, served in the Vietnam War, and was honorably discharged after 21 years of service with the ending rank of Master Sergeant. Paul married Ms. Yong Pun Ko in Seoul, Korea, on Friday, November 25th, 1977. They were married for 45 years and had two children.

Paul was an active member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars organization and an avid gun enthusiast.
