Paul Eric Rowe, 57, passed away March 27th, 2026, following a lengthy hospital stay.
Paul proudly served his country in the United States Army for four years, earning the rank of Specialist (E-4). Shortly after his service, he met the love of his life, Diane Barlow, and together they built a life filled with dedication, hard work, and love over 34 years of marriage.
He was a proud father of five children: Amber Rowe of Idaho; John Rowe and his fiancée, Emilia Filippini, of California; Erin and Kelly McBee of Texas; Eric Rowe of New Mexico; and Cameron Rowe of Arizona.
He was also a proud "Papa" to his four grandchildren: Mason McBee, Brooks McBee, Baylor McBee, and Annabelle Rowe, who brought him lots of joy. Paul's love extended beyond his family to his animals—something everyone who knew him could easily see.
For 25 years, Paul owned and operated a successful road service business alongside his wife and children, creating not just a livelihood, but a family legacy of perseverance and teamwork. He also attended the local branch of New Mexico State University, where he earned his
Associate of Applied Science degree. While carrying an impressive 21 credit hours, he maintained a 4.0 GPA and earned a place on the Dean's List—an accomplishment that reflected his determination and belief that "if you want it bad enough, you will figure it out." And he did.
Paul never met a stranger. He could strike up a conversation with anyone, anywhere, about anything. Though he could appear gruff , those who knew him understood the depth of his kindness. He had a generous spirit and would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. For the last 8 years he was the face of Papa's Pawn, becoming known as Papa to all.
Paul leaves behind a legacy of hard work, resilience, humor, and love. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and the community he touched throughout his life. We take comfort in knowing he is now with his Savior.
