Pete Peshlakai

Peshlakai died March 13, 2010, in Gallup. He was born July 2, 1952, in Crownpoint, into the Deer Springs People Clan for the Towering House People Clan. Peshlakai attended Brigham City, Utah and CIT, Crownpoint. He worked as a construction roofer during his lifetime and liked to go to rodeos and listen to country music. Survivors include his daughters, Shawnaaron Billy of Window Rock, Tanya Tsosie of Chesapeake, Vir.; brother, Paul Peshlakai of Fort Defiance; sister, Nancy Chiquito of Mariano Lake; four grandchildren. Peshlakai was preceded in death by his father, Chee Peshlakai Sr.; mother, Mae Gray. Pallbearers will be Vincent Chiquito, Terry Chiquito, Thomas Chiquito Jr., Lorenzo Chiquito, Jason Chiquito, Melvin Willie.
