POULOS- Pete “Big Daddy” Poulos, 70, a longtime resident of Colorado Springs and most recently Rio Rancho, NM, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 07, 2011. Mr. Poulos was born on October 29, 1940 to John and Josephine (Coletti) Poulos of Pueblo, CO. He retired after a career as an employee and union steward of King Soopers grocery stores of Colorado. He, also enjoyed fishing in the Colorado mountains. He will be remembered as a devoted Denver Broncos fan, as well as the luckiest gambler his family knew. Mr. Poulos is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Poulos, of Rio Rancho, NM; children: Kim Yallaly and her husband, Jim, of Rio Rancho, NM, James Poulos and his wife, Lisa, of Colorado Springs, CO, Marion Alexander and her husband, Alan, of Surprise, AZ, Diane Poulos of Colorado Springs, CO, Jonna Baker of Pueblo, CO, Pete E. Poulos of Colorado Springs, CO, and Tom Poulos of Longmont, CO; 12 grandchildren; brothers, Thomas Poulos and his wife, Helen, and Sylvestro “Crow” Poulos; and many, many cousins. A Funeral Service at 2:00 PM will be held on Tuesday, January 11, at Daniels Family Funeral Services, 4310 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho, NM.
