Fr Philip Peralta passed away peacefully on December 31, 2021 at Casa Angelina in Albuquerque, NM.
 
Born Philip Euclid Martin on July 19, 1936 in Limestone, ME. He was preceded in death by his parents and 16 siblings, with six remaining surviving siblings.
 
Fr Philip was a gentle soul who loved music, children and animals. He proudly served 8 years in the US Air Force, and upon honorable discharge pursued his calling to join the priesthood, becoming ordained in 1979.
 
A devout Catholic priest, Fr Philip dedicated himself to the many parishes and communities he was called upon to serve. He spent time as Chaplain at the University of New Mexico Hospital and later, Chaplain at the VA Hospital, both in Albuquerque. Retiring in the early ‘90s, Fr Philip settled in Taos, NM, where he lived a quiet and contemplative life.
 
Loved by many parishioners and his family. He will be missed.
 
A Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 16, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM with a Rosary being recited at 3:00 PM, Daniels Family Funeral, 3113 Carlisle Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM. A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, February 17, 2022 at 11:00 AM, St Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 5712 Paradise Blvd NW, Albuquerque, NM, followed by internment at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
