Rachel Jane Murphy

RACHEL JANE MURPHY Rachel Jane Murphy, 84, of Farmington passed from this life on November 18, 2010. Jane was born April 2, 1926 in Clovis, New Mexico where she was raised by her sister Bertha (Kitchen) Foster and brother-in-law Clay Foster. Jane graduated from Clovis High School and attended a local Business College, She married Ira Murphy in 1943 and moved to Farmington, NM in 1951. Jane worked as a bookkeeper at various businesses over the next 60 years. Mrs. Murphy loved word puzzles, crocheting and spending time with her family. Jane was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Ira. She is survived by her daughter, Brandi Fox; three grandchildren, Steven M. Fox (Kimberly) of Farmington, Janet Wilson (Paul) of Lubbock, Texas and Dana Facio (Henry) of Clovis, California and seven great-grandchildren. A memorial service for Jane will be Monday, November 29, 2010 at 10:00 am at Cope Memorial Chapel, 404 W. Arrington, Farmington, New Mexico. Private interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
