Ralph J. Tarpley

Tarpley, Elder Ralph J. Entered his rest Thursday, February 6, 2014 at 96 years of age. Elder Tarpley was a retired barber and locksmith. He and his loving wife, Hattie, operated a family owned, neighborhood friendly barber shop. They operated their business for twenty years in Westbury, NY. Subsequently opening Ralph's Barber Lock and Key Shop in Rio Rancho and serving the community for an additional thirty years. Ralph served as elder at Rio Rancho Community Christian Church for fifteen years. He then became a member of Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church and served as a man of prayer and wisdom for many years to follow. He was known to be a God fearing man with powerful prayers and a tender heart. He is survived by Hattie Mae Tarpley, his bride of 54 years. Together they raised 4 children and were blessed to see 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He will be dearly missed and his legacy will be treasured. Viewing and visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at Daniels Family Funeral Services, Sara Chapel, 4310 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho, NM. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at Daniels Family Funeral Services, Sara Chapel, 4310 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho, NM.
