Raymond M. Pena

PENA- Raymond M. Pena, age 86, loving father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend went home to be with our Lord and Savior Thursday, April 7, 2011. Raymond was born February 14, 1925 in Albuquerque, NM. Raymond was a simple man. Raymond spent the last eleven years traveling the US with his daughter who was also his care taker and his bingo buddies. When not traveling, you could find him making his rounds to the North Valley Senior Center or Share-U-Care. Raymond enjoyed eating GOOD food, playing bingo and most importantly praying four Rosaries daily. Raymond was a life long member of San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church. Raymond is preceded in death by his beloved wife Jesusita (Susie) Armijo Pena, of over 50 years; his parents, Emiterio and Clarinda Pena; his brother Frank Pena; his sister Martha Pena Gutierrez. He is survived by his loving children, Clara Pena, John R. Pena and wife Betty, Charlie V. Pena, Anthony Pena, and Raymond Pena Jr. and wife Jeannine; brothers, Martin Pena, Emiterio (Terry) Pena Jr.; sister, Mary Pena Noskin; close family friend, Lorrie Montano; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and his bingo and traveling buddies, Vicki Archibque and Helen Barreras. Raymond will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Rosary to be recited at San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church, 2005 North Plaza SW; Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at 7:00 p.m.; Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. also at San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church; Interment to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Casket Bearers are Paul Noskin, Gregory Pena, Nestor Pena, Alan Bouhamdan, Mark Garcia, and Charles Pena. Honorary Bearers are, Rick Pena, Gabriel Pacheco, and Monique A. Pena.
