Our loving husband, father and grandfather, lost his brave battle with cancer on Saturday, November 7, 2009. We will miss his enthusiasm for life, his ability to make us smile and his serenading our family with birthday wishes year after year. We are especially sad he will be unable to meet his first great-granddaughter and namesake, Adyson Rae Myers, in the way we would have liked as well as any future great-grandchildren. We are comforted that he was able to join us for a family wedding in May and dance the night away with his family. We also thank him for being such a supportive and generous father and grandfather. He held a strong belief of faith, family and country. He taught us the value of hard work and perseverance. He truly believed and lived the American dream. He spent over 55 years working hard and building his own business for his family. He loved being on the road and driving his big rig. He also loved the many truck shows and taking his trucks to parades of all kinds. He was a lifetime member of the Farmington Elks Club, American Historical Truck Society San Juan Chapter, St. Mary's and Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was very politically active in the community. He was also the owner/operator of Santana Trucking. He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Elsie Chavez Saiz and his parents, William Saiz and Florence Garcia. He is survived by his wife of six years, Elsie G. Saiz, daughters and son-in-laws, Durella Saiz (Danny Archuleta) of Sacramento, CA, Jan Saiz-Aragon (Edward) of Pueblo, CO,Valerie Saiz (Michael Flynn) of Omaha, Nebraska sons and daughter-in-laws, Carlos Saiz (Linda) of Lexington, NE and John Saiz (Susan) of Farmington, granddaughters, Hannah Rae Myers (Todd), Sierra Aragon, Victoria Winnett, grandsons, Lorin Winnett, Andrew Saiz and Nicholas Saiz, brothers, Larry Saiz, Don Saiz, Steve Saiz and Michael Garcia and sisters, Lou Smith and Priscilla Mace, and special friend Scott Sonnenfelt of Omaha, Nebraska.
