Rebecca Lorelei Gipson

Gipson, Rebecca (Becca) L. Of Albuquerque NM age 70 died on March 10,2026 following a long fight with cancer. She is predeceased by parents George and Shirley Wood both of San Bernardino, CA and brother Carl L. Wood.

Becca was an avid gardener and fisherman. She loved dogs more than she loved people often saying that Max was her husband because he didn’t argue.

She worked in retail in Albuquerque and Clovis. When she retired she worked for the City of Albuquerque Senior Services. She moved to New Mexico in 1997 from San Bernardino, CA.

She is survived by: her Partner and Care Giver Alex Sandoval, 3 children : Michelle Eche and Spouse from CA, Gina Myers and Spouse from KY, and Frank (Guy) Pruitt and Spouse from SC. Her surviving siblings are : Craig Chase from WA, Dennis Wood of OR/HI, Carole Hinton of MS, Robbi Ross of Albuquerque, NM and Jeff Wood of AZ. She is also survived of several grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Cremation is being handled by Daniels Family Funeral. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 14,2026 at 1:00 pm at Albuquerque Leadership Foundation 401 Alvardo SE.
