Redolfo (Rudy/Goody) Romero, proud Army veteran and rancher, beloved husband, adored father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, brother and friend passed from this world through the gates of heaven on October 26th 2025 in Rio Rancho, New Mexico surrounded by his loved ones.
Rudy was born August 1st, 1945 in Ojo de Padre, New Mexico. He was a hardworking and devoted family man who was completely dedicated to family and friends. To know him was to truly understand the meaning of loyalty and what it is to be loved unconditionally. He was the type of man to help anyone in need no matter what it was or how long it would take. Rudy’s sense of humor was one of a kind. Behind all of his jokes was a foundation of wittiness that left everyone on their toes and was the root of so many laughs and amazing memories. Most importantly Rudy was a man to be described and remembered as a man whose love and compassion spoke volumes and had no bounds to all he met throughout the years and will forever leave a long lasting impact on all of us.
Rudy is now reunited with his mother Orcelia and father Lorenzo Romero, his son John Rudolph, brothers Benny, Antonio and Eloy, sisters Viola, Billy and Gina. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Denise, children Camille Romero (Walter), Alicia Romero (Joe), Karen Romero, Nathan Ortiz (Sarah), Kristal Ortiz (Amanda), Brittany Lovato (Ralph), grandchildren Lorenzo, Jose,Dameon, Satine, Ryan, Dante, Reve, Kristiahna and great granddaughter Layla.
On behalf of all his family, thank you all so much for the ongoing love, thoughts, prayers and warm wishes. The family would also like to give special heartfelt thanks to Jayme Rickard and her staff at Advantage Assisted Living, the staff with Hospice De La Luz, Monica Lovato and her staff at Casita Senior Living, the Roadrunner Hospice staff as well as Brooke Laris (VA Healthcare worker) for the the amazing care they gave Rudy throughout his illness and in his final days and their warm and loving support of Rudy's wife, Denise.
