Reginald "Reggie" Pityer

Reginald “Reggie” D Pityer,71, of Rio Rancho NM, passed away at  UNMH Albuquerque on 03/18/19 after a recent illness. Reginald was born on October 14, 1947 to Julius and Olga Sedlacek Pityer in Cedar Rapids IA. Reginald moved to Edgewood IA with his father when he was young to start farming and went to school. He graduated from Edgewood-Colesburg HS in 1966.  After HS he worked for Amana Refrigeration for 3 yrs.

He married Marilee Schenke in 1969, and moved to Wisconsin with his parents to start dairy farming. 3 children were born of this union. They divorced in 1982 and he remarried in 1983 to Kitty Carlson. One child was born of this union. They divorced in 1994.

Reginald moved to Albuquerque in 1992. While here, he enjoyed playing at the casinos, visiting with people, gardening, and talking about politics.

Reginald is survived by his children John (Larissa) Pityer, Tarilee (Jeffery) Deutmeyer, Daren (Jackie) Pityer and Christy (Matt) Tainter, 7 grandchildren and one sister Fontelle (Sam) Hersheberger.

He was preceded in death by his parents Julius and Olga Pityer, sisters Angeline Douda, and Jeanette Pityer and his brothers David, William, and Daniel Pityer.
