Rhoda Frances Bernstein, born April 7, 1936, in New York, New York, passed away peacefully in her sleep. She will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, sense of humor and the love she shared with her family and friends.

Born Rhoda Liebman, she was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, survived by her two daughters, Andrea Lazo (Courtney Lazo) and Lori Sisk (Brian Sisk) and grandchildren Ryan Lazo, Amber Haggerty and Brandon Sisk. She was preceded in death by her parents Sally and Michael, husband Marvin and son David. Rhoda loved her family above all else and especially cherished making memories with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren (Carter Haggerty, Cooper Haggerty and Zoë Lazo).

A lover of crossword puzzles and card games, Rhoda’s sharp mind was matched only by her sense of humor and kind heart. Her presence brought joy and comfort to family and friends.

Services to honor her life will be held at Daniel’s Funeral Home in Rio Rancho on Sara Road at 10:30 am on Friday, March 13th, 2026.
