Richard Victor Acosta

Richard Victor Acosta passed away at age 48 on February 25th, 2023. Richard was born on July 13th, 1974, in Los Angeles, California. His friends, colleagues, and family remember him as, "Pitinix" / "Pancho (villa)" / "Cookie Monster"...and when he would get a really short haircut, "Cabeza de papá."

As we recall what he would say most...it was, "bring me a glazed donut and a bottle of anything."

Richard was a jack of all trades. If he did not know how to do something, his common sense and perseverance would kick in and get the job done as best as he could or better. His biggest accomplishment in life was giving his life to God. That journey took and blessed him and his family with more than they ever could have imagined. He built a strong foundation for his family and continually furthered his knowledge. He went back to school and also started a new company of his own in HERS Rating.

He genuinely loved helping others and being there for anyone who needed help. Richard will be missed as a son, brother, husband, father, and friend to many who were blessed to have him in their life.

Richard is survived by his wife of 27 years, Yaxaira Acosta, and their three children, Richard, Jonathan, and Yelena Acosta.

Though Richard is no longer with us, his memory will live on and will never be forgotten. The family will hold a memorial service on March 24th, 2023 at Daniels Family Funerals and Cremation - Wyoming Blvd. Chapel. Family, friends, and the community are welcome.
