Richard Hamilton Young

Richard Hamilton Young (better known as Rickey) was called home by the Lord on August 15, 2019.  He was born on April 28, 1990 in Carlsbad, New Mexico to Richard Lee Young and Patricia Ann Cox.  Rickey had many hobbies which included motocross racing, horseback riding, camping, fishing, hunting, creating metal art and barbecuing.  He loved kicking back with his friends and listening to music, while he was manning the barbecue.  He loved off-roading. He was an awesome uncle and loved kids.  Rickey had his dog, Tank, always at his side.  He was a longtime resident of Rio Rancho and loved his community.  He had a big heart and was always trying to help others out.  He touched many lives and had many friends and will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.

Rickey was preceded in death by his sister, Britney Young.

He is survived by his parents, Richard Young and Tricia Cox; brother, Nicholas Young and family; sister, Samantha Young and family; and grandfather, Richard Cox, of Weiser, Idaho.

Funeral services will be held for Rickey on Saturday, August 24, 2019, 10:00 AM, at Daniels Family Funeral Services~Sara Chapel, 4310 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho, NM 87124.  Interment will follow at Vista Verde Memorial Park, 4310 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho, NM 87124.
