Rita Lorraine Rael

Rita L. Rael, age 87, A loving, caring, supportive and devoted wife and grandmother passed away January 4th 2022.
She is proceeded in passing by her husband Richard A. Rael, parents George and Christina Tafoya, sisters Jo & Candy & neice Ronnie Weathers.
She is survived by her six children: Deborah Rael-Buckley and her husband Thomas, Valerie Compton and her husband Woody, Lorraine Lewis and her husband Erin Gavin, Richard G. Rael and his wife Tonya, John Rael and his wife Colleen, Irene Rael -Ramirez and her husband Christopher Five grandchildren; Justin Lawrence, Joshua Rael, Jordan Rael, Mateo Rael and Annaleise Rael.
Rita devoted her life to the development of her children. She was an amazing cook and loved arts and crafts. After her children were raised she went back to work as a teachers aide at Van Buren Middle School. She was an avid member of Our Lady of Fatima Church Parish, and had a strong spiritual belief. She donated her time by running the treasury at Our Lady of Fatima Church. Rita loved traveling and her bucket list never seemed to end. Rita loved the New York Yankees and enjoyed going to major league basball games.
Rita will be laid to rest alongside her husband of 59 years. A Rosary will be recited at 11:30am on Saturday, Febuary 12, 2022 at Mount Calvary Cemetary, 1900 Edith Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102
