Robert Alfred Torres

Robert Alfred Torres, 80, of Socorro, New Mexico, passed away on April 22, 2024. He was born to Joe E. Torres Sr and Gertrude Baca on February 16, 1944, in Socorro, New Mexico.

Robert was a hardworking individual who owned his ice-making and delivering company, earning him the nickname "The Iceman". He also dedicated many years to working at multiple service stations. Robert was a loving husband and father.

He is survived by his son, Robert A. Torres Jr, his daughter, Denise Benavidez, her husband Fred Benavidez, his beloved grandson, Freddie Robert Benavidez, and his two sisters, Barbara Sanchez and Teresa Torres.

A viewing will be held from 9:00 am to 9:30 am followed by a Rosary at 9:30 am and a Mass at 10:00 am at the San Miguel Catholic Church in Socorro, New Mexico.

There will be a burial at the Old San Miguel Cemetery with military Honors.
