Robert Lee Arellano passed away at his home in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, on Saturday, May 31, 2025.

Robert was born in Tucumcari, New Mexico. He served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1972, after which he moved to California where he spent much of his life. Beginning with classes in mechanics at the local junior college, he made his career working in the truck leasing business before retiring from management and consulting. A man of faith, he was a member of The Church of the Incarnation in Rio Rancho.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Karen Arellano; daughter, Dionna Arellano of Albuquerque; son, Eric Arellano of Yuma, Arizona; brothers, Alcario Arellano and Rudy Arellano (Susie), both of Amarillo, Texas; sisters, Louella Arellano of Albuquerque and Bertha Arellano of Tucumcari; sister-in-law, Anita Arellano of Albuquerque; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Magdalena and Esteban Arellano of Tucumcari; brothers, Leo Arellano of Tucumcari and Orlando Arellano of Albuquerque; sister, Carlota Padilla of Ewa Beach, Hawaii; and sister-in-law, Irma Arellano of Amarillo.

A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, June 13, 2025 at 11:00 AM At the Church of the Incarnation, 2309 Monterrey Rd NE, Rio Rancho, NM 87144. Burial will follow at 1:00 PM at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102.
