Bogan, Robert G.
Age 68, passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2018. He was born in Franklin, LA on June 24, 1950, to Theodore and Ruby Bogan.
Following graduation from West Mesa High School, Gary received his Bachelors Degree from UNM. After graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Army. Upon return from Germany, Gary enlisted in the National Guard continuing his service to our country. At the same time he went back to UNM and received his Masters Degree. Gary was also working for the state of NM as a manger for Human Services. Gary enjoyed dancing, cooking, walking his two dogs, volunteering at his community center and the NM Vets Memorial. He especially loved hosting Christmas Eve at his place for friends and family. He would cook traditional food from Louisiana. Gumbo, Eggnog and making a Shrimp Christmas Tree. Gary had an infectious laugh that we all LOVED and a belief that no one need be a stranger. Gary’s Love for his family and his generous nature will be greatly missed by his sisters, nieces, nephews ,Aunts, Uncles and numerous friends.
Gary is survived by sisters, Pat Allen, Pam Fuller, Holly Thompson and husband Jim, Lorie Christoffersen and husband Todd, Michele Wallace and husband Victor.
Gathering is Scheduled Friday, December 14, 2018 - 10:00 AM at Sara Road Chapel, 4310 Sara Road, Rio Rancho, NM.
Inurnment to follow with Honor Guard.
In lieu of flowers donations may be given in Robert 's honor to New Mexico Veterans Memorial at nmvetsmemorial.org.
