Robert Bruce Hunter

Robert Bruce Hunter died Tuesday, November 8, after a brief illness. Robert was born August 2, 1936, in San Jose, California. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Sandra, of Albuquerque; step-children, Kerry Burns and Lorraine Lee of Tijeras, NM; grandson, Sage Reader, of Grants, NM; granddaughter, Heather Wolf and her husband Eric of Edgewood, NM, and 3 great-grandchildren, Nevaeh 6, Celeste 4, and Eric Jr. 2. Bob was preceded in death by his parents Ian Hunter and Catherine Armstrong Hunter; sister, Joan Hunter; our beloved aunt, Helen Armstrong and his first wife, Laverne, who died in 1989. Robert was a veteran of the United States Air Force and served in Germany in the 1950s. He was a member of the American Legion and the NE Seniors Golf Association. He loved hot air ballooning with his dear friends in the "Out of the Blue hot air balloon and he was happiest when he was on the golf course or high above Albuquerque in a hot-air balloon. A graveside service and burial will be held at the Santa Fe National Cemetery on November 30, 2011. We will all miss him terribly. Robert's care has been entrusted to:
