Robert C. Killgore

Robert C. Killgore, 80 of Aztec, NM died Friday, March 19, 2010, at San Juan Regional Medical Center in Farmington, NM. He was born May 20, 1928 in Anadarko, OK. Robert served in the US Navy in the 40’s. He retired from the US Postal Service in Farmington, NM after a career of delivering mail to most of the Farmington area. He truly enjoyed his work and visiting with all the people he met over the years. He enjoyed running for five miles in the hills behind his home in Aztec before going to work in Farmington. He also enjoyed fishing the lakes and rivers in the Four Corners area. He was preceded in death by his son Robert Killgore, Jr. of Farmington, NM; brothers, Don Killgore of Payson, AZ and Veral Killgore of Bloomfield, NM; sister, Julie Coffey of Farmington, NM. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Edythe Killgore; sons, James Killgore of Aztec, NM and Clayton Killgore of Baton Rouge, LA; daughters, Susan Palmer and husband Dan of Aztec, NM; Cindy Sloan of Flora Vista, NM and Karen Crouch and husband, David of Farmington, NM; grandchildren; Vikki Nolin and husband Armand of Concord, NH, Steve Palmer and wife, Trisha of Colorado Springs, CO, Mathew Reagan of Albuquerque, NM, Laura Liebel of Farmington, NM, Liesha Roller and husband Cody of Farmington, NM, and Kodi Killgore of Loranger, LA; three great-grandchildren, brothers, Von Killgore and wife, Adele of Payson, AZ, Marvin Killgore and wife Alta of Marble Falls, TX; Eddie Killgore and wife Minnie of Cold Water, KS; sisters, June Salisbury and husband Chuck of Cold Water, KS and Jane Shorter and husband Francis of Aztec, NM; sister-in-law Erma Killgore of Bloomfield, NM as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be Thursday, March 25th at 3 pm at Cope Memorial Chapel, 404 W. Arrington Street, Farmington, NM The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Guardian Angel Home Health at 4801 Butler Avenue, Farmington, NM.
