Robert Martinez Sr

Martinez died Jan. 13, 2010, in Gallup. He was born Feb. 18, 1955, in Gallup. Martinez was employed with L&G Home Furnishing for a few years and later worked for the City of Gallup for 20 years. His hobbies included playing acrostic guitar and enjoyed teaching it. Survivors include his sons, Robert Martinez Jr., Isaiah Martinez, both of Gallup; daughters, Renee Martinez of Gallup, Sandra Yazzie of Flagstaff, Melissa Martinez of St. George, Utah; brothers, David Martinez of California, Rudy Martinez of Keams Canyon, Daniel Martinez of Gallup, Emmett Martinez of Gallup; sisters, Helen Lucero of Gallup, Emily Guardian of Gallup, Kathleen Mora of Albuquerque; 8 grandchildren. Martinez was preceded in death by his parents, Reyes and Isabell Martinez; brothers, Frank Martinez, Ray Martinez Jr., Arthur Martinez.
