Robert Evertte Sprunk

Robert Everette Sprunk, age 73, passed away October 8, 2021 in Albuquerque, NM. He was born June 24, 1948 to Rudolph and Priscilla Sprunk in Albuquerque, NM.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Michelle Cangiolosi and a brother, David Sprunk.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Susan "Suzy" Rael Sprunk; his parents, Randolph and Priscilla Sprunk; his son, Steven Sprunk; granddaughters: Ashley Collins, Kaylee Cangiolosi, and Essence Sprunk; great-grandchildren: Debra Jimenez, Jesse Jimenez and Jude Collins, all of Albuquerque, NM.
Robert honorably and proudly served his country in the US Army from July 5, 1966 to July 4, 1972 and earned the rank of E-6 / Staff Sergeant. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and Campaign Medal with 2 clusters for his service in Vietnam, and Sharpshooter Medal for Rifle (M-14).
He was employed at Kirtland Air Force Base in Base Supply.
Robert was a beloved husband, father, son, grandfather, and great-grandfather. We will always remember his as: family first, grandchildren’s favorite grandpa, always there for everyone no matter what; he loved impersonating Elvis Presley; and he earned a 3rd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do Korean Karate (trained with Koreans while serving in Vietnam).
A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Glory Christian Fellowship, 2417 Wyoming Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM. Interment will follow at 10:00 AM at Santa Fe National Cemetery, 501 N Guadalupe St, Santa Fe, NM.
A Reception will follow Interment at Glory Christian Fellowship.
