Robert Noone Zaza, Lieutenant Colonel, U.S. Army Reserve, Retired, died on Sunday March 17, 2019. He was born in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, May 19, 1963 to Frank J. and Barbara Anne (Shaver) Zaza. He is survived by his wife, Isishdam ‘Av Zaza; daughter, Michal Levi Zaza; son, David Ben-Tziyon Zaza; sister, Sara Reed Zaza Kline of Falls Church, Virginia; aunt, Joanne W. Shaver of Maplewood, New Jersey.
Robert lived in Perth Amboy, from 1963 to 1964, Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, from 1964 to 1968, and Arlington, Virginia form 1968 to 1981.
After receiving a commission in the United States Army Reserve, he entered active duty in 1985 as an Armor officer. He transitioned to Military intelligence in 1990. He served on active duty at Fort Knox, Kentucky; Fort Huachuca, Arizona; Camp Casey, Republic of Korea; and Fort Hood, Texas.
Upon leaving active duty in 1997, he moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado, and served in Army Reserve positions, and deployed to Afghanistan as an Army Space Support Team Leader in 2002 and 2003. He also had a career as a defense contractor for the U.S. Army. While in Colorado he earned his Masters degree in Science Space Systems Operation Management in 2008.
His military awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal, and the Master Air Force Space Badge.
He moved to Rio Rancho, New Mexico in 2010 and worded as a contractor and a civilian employee for the U.S. Air Force.
