Roberta Elizabeth Stufft

Roberta E. Stufft, age 90, passed away in Albuquerque, New Mexico on September 30th, 2022. She was born in Santa Fe, New Mexico on May 5th, 1932, to Jordan L. and Alva E. Gilcrease. She graduated from Albuquerque High School and worked at Kent Nowlin Construction for twenty-one years. Roberta married her husband of 70 years, William A. Stufft, on July 30, 1951, in Corrales, New Mexico. 

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, mother and father-in-law; Foster and Ruby Stufft, sister, Faye Rozell, and brothers; William J. & Murriel Lee Gilcrease. She is survived by her sons; Allen L. (Barbara) and Richard M. Stufft of Albuquerque, New Mexico, daughter, Kathy E. Ingram (Scott) of Los Lunas, New Mexico, sisters; Della Juckett of Albuquerque, New Mexico, & Gwen Miller of Los Lunas New Mexico brother, Karrel Wayne Gilcrease of Lubbock, Texas, and brother-in-law, Butch Stufft of Scotts Bluff, Nebraska, as well as six Grandchildren, twelve Great Grandchildren, two Great-Great Grandchildren, and a third Great-Great Grandchild on the way. 

 

Roberta made beautiful quilts for any graduation, marriage, or birth. She shared this love from her mother and carried on the tradition. She also loved growing flowers in her yard. She enjoyed camping, fishing, and boating with her family for many years. Her heart was broken when the love of her life died in January of this year.
