Rochelle Pettigrew

Funeral services for Rochelle Ann Pettigrew, 33, will be 10 a.m., Dec. 14, at Church of Christ, Gallup. Burial will be in Manuelito. Pettigrew died Dec. 5, 2010, in Portales. She was born Aug. 30, 1977, in Gallup, into the Charcoal Streak People Clan for the Bitter Water People Clan. Pettigrew attended local Gallup schools. She enjoyed being around family and friends. Survivors include her sons, Isaiah Alvardo of Portales, Eddie Kinley of Albuquerque; daughters, Shawndey Alvardo of Portales, Leyla Ayers of Oregon; father, Johnny Pettigrew of Gallup; brothers, Brandon Chischilly, Brian Chischilly of Church Rock; sister, Verlinda Pettigrew of Oklahoma City, Okla.; grandparents, Mary Sandoval Morgan of Pinedale, Tom Smith of Lupton. Pettigrew was preceded in death by Blanche Bertie Smith. Pallbearers will be Tulley John Pettigrew, Donaldson Pettigrew, Hector Goodluck, Barlow Smith, Byron Smith, Arno Joe.
