Roger Michael Serafin

May 16, 1970 — August 14, 2021

Roger was born in Albuquerque, NM.  He is survived by his mother, Betty Serafin, wife Sherri Serafin, son Nicklaus Serafin, brother Gary Silva, Sister Denise Silva, and 3 step-children Christina Eldodt, Michael Abeita, and Kimberly Abeita, along with many, many friends.

Roger grew up in Los Lunas, NM where he played high school sports, including wrestling, football, and baseball.  He also participated in the rodeo club which eventually led up to him becoming a PRCA cowboy.  He drove trucks hauling cattle and other livestock for a few years.  Roger then switched careers, and sold cars for 12 years.  Later in life he opened his own business doing home remodeling, fencing, and landscaping.

Roger is a motorsport enthusiast, loved building and riding all of his custom Harley's, enjoyed his off road vehicles & trucks.  His hobbies included watching his favorite football team:  Pittsburg Steelers, camping, boating, attending concerts, dancing, cooking, and BBQ'ing, but his passion lied with the cowboy lifestyle, his country boy roots where he was raised.  He loved team roping and bull riding, and he always said that a horse is the most beautiful animal that God ever created.  He used to take people on trail rides in the mountains near Edgewood & Tijeras.  But his heart belonged to his family and friends and even the world.  He had so much love to give and this he did and was not selfish but over generous not only to the people he knew, but to anyone who crossed his path.  He could truly turn an ordinary conversation with a stranger into a life-long friendship.  That's just who he was.  In closing he will be dearly missed by all.  Rest in Peace our Best:  husband, father, and friend that any one could ever have.
